Syllogism

The Life of Julius Caesar
History of Julius Caesar, Biography, Pictures, Quotes

Beware the leader who bangs the drums of war in order to whip the citizenry into a patriotic fervor, for patriotism is indeed a double-edged sword. It both emboldens the blood, just as it narrows the mind. And when the drums of war have reached a fever pitch and the blood boils with hate and the mind has closed, the leader will have no need in seizing the rights of the citizenry. Rather, the citizenry, infused with fear and blinded by patriotism, will offer up all of their rights unto the leader and gladly so. How do I know? For this is what I have done. And I am Caesar. (Julius Caesar)

History / Biography of Julius Caesar
(100 – 44 BCE)

'How do I know? For this is what I have done. And I am Caesar.' (Julius Caesar)Gaius Julius Caesar was a Roman military and political leader. In 78 BCE Caesar began his political career in the Forum at Rome as an advocate, known for his oratory and ruthless prosecution of former governors notorious for extortion and corruption. Cicero once commented, "Does anyone have the ability to speak better than Caesar?" Aiming at rhetorical perfection, Caesar traveled to Rhodes in 75 BC for philosophical and oratorical studies with the famous teacher Apollonius Molo.
Caesar was instrumental in the transformation of the Roman Republic into the Roman Empire. His conquest of Gallia Comata extended the Roman world all the way to the Atlantic Ocean, introducing Roman influence into what has become modern France, an accomplishment of which direct consequences are visible to this day. In 55 BC Caesar launched the first Roman invasion of Britain. Caesar fought and won a civil war which left him undisputed master of the Roman world, and began extensive reforms of Roman society and government. He was proclaimed dictator for life, and heavily centralized the already faltering government of the weak Republic.
Caesar summoned the Senate to meet in the Theatrum Pompeium on the Ides of March 44 BC. As the Senate convened, Caesar was attacked and stabbed to death by a group of Senators who called themselves the Liberators. They justified their action on the grounds that they committed tyrannicide, not murder, and were preserving the Republic from Caesar's alleged monarchical ambitions. Ironically he fell at the feet of a statue of his greatest rival, Pompey the Great. His last words, generally thought to be those reported by Suetonius "You too, (my) son?" and Shakespeare's Et tu, Brute? ("And (even) you, Brutus?") are without ancient authority. The dramatic assassination on the Ides of March was the catalyst for a second set of civil wars, which marked the end of the Roman Republic and the beginning of the Roman Empire under Caesar's grand-nephew and adopted son Octavian, later known as Caesar Augustus.
Caesar's military campaigns are known in detail from his own written Commentaries (Commentarii), and many details of his life are recorded by later historians such as Suetonius, Plutarch, and Cassius Dio.

Julius Caesar Quotes

'In war, events of importance are the result of trivial causes.' (Julius Caesar)Men willingly believe what they wish. (Julius Caesar, De Bello Gallico)
I love the name of honor, more than I fear death.
In war, events of importance are the result of trivial causes.
It is better to create than to learn! Creating is the essence of life.
As a rule, men worry more about what they can't see than about what they can.
If you must break the law, do it to seize power: in all other cases observe it.
It is easier to find men who will volunteer to die, than to find those who are willing to endure pain with patience. (Julius Caesar.

Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears....
Brutus is an honorable man,
An honorable man will always be in an angel’s guardian,
Brutus showed the true color towards Caesar,
Therefore, Brutus is not an honorable man.

Brutus is an honorable man,
Honorable man always portrays thousand lie,
Therefore, Brutus is a deceitful person after all.

Caesar was faithful,
Faithful man shares his sympathy,
To the poor ones, therefore Caesar is a humanity and angel man of human being.

metaphor and simile

2. One thing conceived as representing another; a symbol: “Hollywood has always been an irresistible, prefabricated metaphor for the crass, the materialistic, the shallow, and the craven” (Neal Gabler).

Examples of metaphors

Politics in Malaysia

Najib in overdrive

Early elections are a possibility

IT IS rare when a few days pass without the prime minister, Najib Razak, announcing new and sometimes not so new projects under his vaunted Economic Transformation Programme (ETP). Last week saw 19 of them, from building a new “World-Class Data Centre Hub” to the creation of the Talent Corporation, “tasked to strategise and implement initiatives” to fill millions of supposed new jobs. Few areas of life are spared and acronyms and abbreviations proliferate. Thus a Wellness City is planned, and seven types of “high-demand” herbs will be cultivated under the aegis of the ECER, which, for those who have not kept up, is an NKEA in the ETP, the whole to be overseen by PEMANDU. You can, inevitably, follow it all on Twitter.
Mr Najib says the ETP is starting the year “with a bang by switching into overdrive”, part of a wider modernisation to win the Malaysian economy rich-world status by 2020. Yet the rush also looks part of a very different strategy: to win a general election which the prime minister may call this year, perhaps as early as in the spring, despite not having to go to the polls until 2013.
It reflects Mr Najib’s political weaknesses as much as his strengths. He did not win his mandate as prime minister at the polls. Rather, he owes his position to an internal coup within the ruling party, the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), that saw him take over from his former boss, Abdullah Badawi, in April 2009. Mr Badawi was blamed by party bigwigs for the big losses that UMNO suffered at the general election in 2008. The party, the biggest in a coalition called Barisan Nasional (BN), retained power, but for the first time since independence in 1957 the BN lost its two-thirds majority in Parliament. Although the government could now hang on for another two years, Mr Najib seems to want his own mandate from the electorate before then, if only to face down many in his own party who are hostile to the direction in which he wants to go.
UMNO was founded to protect the interests of Malays and other indigenous peoples, who make up about two-thirds of the population, against those, mainly Chinese and Indian, who arrived under British rule in the 19th and 20th centuries. At independence these people were given citizenship, but in exchange Malays were granted special “privileges” to protect their political power and assure a larger share of the country’s wealth. These days, many argue that all the quotas and affirmative-action programmes to help the Malays are now not only obsolete, but counter-productive. Maintaining quotas for Malays in some universities, for instance, drives the brightest ethnic Chinese abroad. Often they do not come back, and the economy suffers from the loss of their entrepreneurial skills—they make neighbouring Singapore even richer instead.
Mr Najib broadly agrees. At the heart of his ETP is a pledge to introduce a more meritocratic society. Being a cautious politician, however, he hedges his message with promises not to abolish all the rights of the bumiputra (“sons of the soil”), as his core Malay constituency is called.
Nonetheless, for some in his party and the government bureaucracy (staffed largely by ethnic Malays), he is still going too fast, or even in the wrong direction. Wan Saiful, head of the Institute for Democracy and Economic Affairs, points out that the new policy is being promoted mainly by bodies, including the ETP, which have been set up within the prime minister’s office rather than in the relevant ministries. It is a sign, he says, that the cabinet is not buying into Mr Najib’s ideas. Further, Mr Najib has to contend with a ginger group, Perkasa, that claims to defend Malay rights within UMNO.
The next election, says one of Mr Najib’s former advisers, will thus be presidential in character. It will be a test of Mr Najib’s ability to assert his agenda within his own party and government as much as a fight against the opposition, a coalition led by Anwar Ibrahim’s People’s Justice Party.
The prime minister’s men are tracking the polls carefully, and are encouraged by recent by-election victories. Mr Najib will have to win big to convince the sceptics, at the very least restoring the BN’s two-thirds majority. Should he do that, he will be able to sweep out the UMNO old guard. Only then will it be clear what a previously unassuming technocrat with modernising ideas can do to transform his country.

The world economy

From tsunamis to Typhoons

The damage to the world economy from Japan’s disaster, Europe’s debt crisis and war in Libya is uncertain. That in itself is damaging

FOLLOWING the earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan on March 11th, survivors scrambled for shelter and sustenance. Investors, meanwhile, scrambled for knowledge. Speaking at a London seminar hosted by GaveKal Research, a consultancy, Jonathan Allum of Mizuho International noted how many of his fellow analysts suddenly purported to be experts on seismology, oceanography and nuclear physics. He was more honest about the limits of his own wisdom. “I know quite a lot about economics and finance and I’m pretty good on German progressive rock,” he said, but that was about it.
The list of esoteric worries troubling the world’s investors is growing. As Western aircraft enforce a no-fly zone over Libya, some of Mr Allum’s peers are no doubt waxing lyrical about the payload of the Eurofighter Typhoon. Across the Mediterranean, Europe’s debt crisis is still in full swing. Markets fretted about the prospect of a long-expected bail-out for Portugal, after the parliament in Lisbon rejected the minority government’s latest austerity measures on March 23rd and the prime minister promptly submitted his resignation. Possible write-downs on Irish bank debt by the new government in Dublin are another concern; so too is the threat that losses will be imposed on private creditors when a permanent European rescue fund starts operating in 2013.

Four Articles Review

                               THINKING FOLLY
This article really an interesting excerpt by the best known author, Eckhart Tolle where it tells the reader how thinking plays an important role in constructing or generating our mind as a human being. In this context, it tells that mind and thinking are two different parts although they are related between one and another. But the only thing is, they are differing in terms of its role and function. Through thinking also, it can invent the illusion of separateness where one keeps away from the reality and tries to believe the capability of thinking completely. In addition he said that, thinking has become a disease where actually we do not use our mind wholly and we let ourselves work for the mind and at last the mind will conquer us simultaneously. I really object this stance, where in opinion, actually the mind is like a splendid instrument if we used it rightly, if we used wrongly it becomes very destructive and unhelpful. We still need our mind to get and accomplish things.

             THE DEGREE OF HAPPINESS
This article can be considered as very remarkable article written by Bertrand Russell. In the article itself, it categorizes the part of happiness that one can receive based on its ability and proficiency in doing any kind of works. Happiness can be gained by everybody in this world, but it relies on the individual itself in defining the level of happiness. The enjoyment and unchallengeable working environment can make us feel more relax and calm as we less facing with insuperable obstacles (under pressure) of working’s atmosphere. Nevertheless, I agree with this author, as he stated that, men of science and literate man have different level of happiness because it is based on the outcome of their work and not because of the responsibility that they carry in delegating their tasks. In addition, we know the fact of being an artist, is very destructive and he faces many negative feedback or rumors that can jeopardize their dignity as a human being as compared to the man of science whose work is more likely gives his contribution to the nationwide. Last but not least, everyone needs the glorious of life that so called “Happiness” where not everyone is able to reach for the maximum of happiness in their daily life.

P/S: let's us hear...what Tony Robbins says about happiness through THE POWER OF GOALS:)))

MEN AND WOMEN ARE MERELY  PLAYERS
This article portrays the reality of what is happening in our country and also in other countries also. When I’m reading this article, it really shows how the politics issue plays in today’s world in terms of the leaders in ruling our country. It involves many things such as bribery, corruption and also craftiness. All these things have become a norm where every politician uses in order to grab for their main power. In this context, people are becoming more selfish and self-seeking as to get what they want. However, society today is becoming unwise in choosing their right leader. No men and women can reflect their honesty and humble in handling their responsibilities to their neither society nor country. Therefore, we have no more quality and the real leader to hold and bring our country to the most uphill achievements.  Moreover, in this article tells that, people with the innocent faces are actually the big liars of human being. They show their trusted face so that, the people surround them will trust them completely. This is such a very dangerous and tricky tactics show by these types of people as most of the time we do not realize of its silence tricks in manipulating us.

The video of 48 laws of power and the Machiavelli and the prince

           THE JEWS AND THEIR DECEITS

The article covers about the disagreement of Adolf Hitler towards the Jews that can be described as ‘leaches’ and ‘pigs’. The Jews manipulate the world in a very immorality technique until people could not realize their methods in conquering the world economically. As we see today, in fact we are actually supporting and contributing our money to them as we buy their daily products that can be considered as our basic needs in life such as Baby Johnson, Kotex and many more. Aren’t we really demolished them entirely? Or we just say it verbally without any reaction in showing our disagreement towards them? In the nutshell, they take for guaranteed of other people work and effort. They can be even symbolize as lazy leaches who know how to make use of others and let the others be their slave where their people do all the hard work while they receive the benefits or credits. The worst thing is, they just act arrogantly, and claim that they are the chosen people. Consequently, they are totally big headed and downright simpleton of human being on this earth.

JACK THE RIPPER SUSPECT( M.POWER POINT PRESENTATION)

                     FRANCIS TUMBLETy
THE MOST LIKELY TO BE JACK THE RIPPER

    1st premise

~The Original Thinker~

SUPERTITIONS

a)   Don’t eat fruits together with the seeds, if not a tree will grow in your stomach.
Left brain perspective:-
  •    This superstition is ridiculous as no man in history is dead due to the fruits’ seeds. The seeds do not give any harmful or poisonous effect to human’s digestive system.
  •  Other than that, the superstition is totally cannot be accepted, because in the seeds itself contained vitamin C which is good for our skin texture and inner beauty of a woman.
  •  This superstition also is silly, because how the fruits’ seeds could generate a tree without having any soil in human’s stomach.

Right brain perspective:-
  •  This superstition is likely an advice from a mum to her kids not to swallow the fruits’ seeds because this would avoid a child from choking.
  •   The superstition also reflects human should eat properly and full with mannerism, as it is not good to eat everything including the unnecessary things that should not be ingested.
  • The superstition describes the right method of eating a fruit because sometimes people tend to eat everything that has in the fruit itself.
  •

    b) If lightning strikes a tree and you witness it then someone you know will die.

    Left brain perspectives:-
    • This superstition is absolutely untrue, because we cannot predict death of a person that we know just by looking at the lightning.
    • This superstition is somehow does not make any sense, as we cannot confirm that by looking at the lightning, someone will definitely die. This is because only God knows better.
    • This superstition is definitely hard to believe, because when lightning strikes a tree, the impact only goes to the structure of the tree itself and it does not give us the clear picture of someone we know will die.
    Right brain perspectives:-
    • This superstition is a good advice to the kids not to play around near a tree when it is raining because they might catch the lightning strikes over them.
    • This superstition is a kind of warning and reminder to everybody about the dangerous of the lightning when it is raining. If we tend to neglect this, we might get into death.
    • This superstitions is really useful because when lightning strikes a tree, it would make the tree fallen from its root. So, this might be very unsafe for people who get near a tree.

Review on the 'PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE'

"Far too entertaining to be considered as the very worst film ever made".
June 8, 2007 Full Review Source: Film Threat | Comment (1)

    Film Threat
What can I comment about the film 'plan 9 from outer space' is a film that is difficult to understand and the film director seems to have no mission and vision to publish the film that somehow gives an ambiguous message to its audience. Other than that, this is considered as the worst film that i ever watched, the storyline of this story is very bad because every scene is totally bored and unclear. Furthermore, sometimes we cannot really get the real picture of this story because it has no starting and impressive ending to its audience. I wonder what the real story of this film is, and expect it to be produced in a very interesting yet exciting story line. This is because as the audience, i really love to watch a film that has its structured film board . Not only by seeing through the actors but it more to the originality and  productivity of the film itself. So overall feedback after i have watched this movie for the first time, perhaps there will be a lot of improvements in order to make this film an exhilarating and thrilling film to be watched by all people.

    Eureka moment.

                          LIFE, LOVE, HARDSHIP, ENDURANCE
Those FOUR words above give such a significant impact in my life. They make me realize how I reflect the world today with my both eyes. Thinking about what comes next, tomorrow and also in the future. Here, I begin my words with a memorable event that is very valuable, and meaningful to be remembered for the entire of my life.
One day afternoon, I spent my leisure time with my beloved family at KL, Sogo to buy clothes, shoes and other things as well. After we have done with our shopping, we went to Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman (TAR) to have our dinner together at Insan Mamak’s Restaurant. Unfortunately, the foods were very disappointing and yet the service was damn slow as we did not expect it turned out to be like these because all this while their services are at the rank number 5 which is excellent. Hmm..we felt that, the day just ended with nothing special  as though we have wasted our money and time after almost two and a half hours of touring the whole building of SOGO, shopping complex.
Right after finished eating, my family and I went for a walk along the street..suddenly my eyes were distracted with a middle aged lady crossed in front of me. I did not see her alone, but at the same time I saw two little kids besides her with the dirty and unkempt clothes. What a poor life they have..!! They have nothing to eat, no comfortable shelter to live in and the most heartbreaking thing that I have witnessed was, they were digging the dustbin and seeking foods. Oh, my goodness.. they were just like abandoned dogs searching for foods. I just cannot control my emotion and naturally my heart can felt how suffer their lives is..my tears dropped immediately and I said to my parents, “ ibu and ayah, we should be grateful indeed..because they are still people who are less fortunate than us..look at them”. Then they replied, “yeah..you are true daughter..may Allah blessed and helped them in any ways”.
    -The end-
    The unfortunate one
WHERE is our LOVE to them???

Suffice to say that, not all human beings on this earth have an easy journey like us. Not everybody has the comfortable and padded mattress to sleep on it. Not everyone has the luxurious and splendid home furniture to be sat on. Therefore..appreciate and be grateful of what we have although sometimes we may not get the complete or perfect ones in our life. This is because there are still unlucky ones outside there who lead a very deprived life. What can i say is, our destiny  is drawn by Allah..the most merciful.
So, there goes my story. I have learned so many things from my eureka moment which I can consider this as the most precious lesson that everybody can gain after reading this story.
let's take a look at this videos and be conscious of ourselves..perhaps we realize  and instill the sense of humanity towards the poor ones..:)
